John Shepherd’s ’49 Merc 2 Door
Here are some progress pictures of my 1949 Mercury 2 door.
I have had the car since the 80s. Bought it from Tony Love in Cobble Hill with no motor or trans. Put in a 255 flathead and 3 speed for other car. Lowered it and drove it for few years, when I was in the V8 club in early 90s.
Took apart in mid 1990s and started on frame swap, 1973 Lemans 4 door. Then chop top done by Dave Dobranski and the Late Dick Hopes. Worked on it on and off till retirement 2013. Now working on steady till done.
